Trick or Treat!

We had a fun Halloween week. Kenley's school (daycare) had a theme week...right up my school spirit ally!

Monday was pajama day.

Tuesday was black or orange day (our Ferris household is a little short on orange, so this was the best I could come up with.)

Thursday was hat day.

And we just stopped by school on Friday to see the other kids in their costumes (she only goes to school M, T & Th.)
Friday was costume day.

We took Kenley trick or treating for the first time. She didn't know what to think, but she did like looking at the lit pumpkins on people's porches.

My grandma also came for the weekend, so we got to spend some time as a group of four generations shopping...Grandma is teaching Kenley the shopping ropes!
Enough shopping for this girl!

Welcome November! 🍂

Halloween Week!

We're pretty excited for Halloween this year. We've never really been too "in" to this holiday, but this year seems different to me. Kenley "gets it" a little more (I realize we still have another year or two before she truly gets it, but things are definitely getting fun), plus we live in a new neighborhood with more kids around, so we even did a little outdoor decorating with orange lights and everything!

We carved pumpkins tonight. First time Kenley was able to participate...and  I think she enjoyed the squishy guts! She was a great little helper.
She's checking it out...not quite sure yet.

She's really into it now. She's scooping that thing out as if she worked for Ben & Jerry's! 😉

Helping mama get seeds out so we can bake them!

Pumpkin with her pumpkin.

She's very interested in how this thing lights up!

Our little family...pumpkin style. 🎃

What a great way to end our weekend. Bryan and I have carved pumpkins together for 13 years. It was fun to have Kenley join in now.

Friday will be our first time Trick or Treating...so I'm sure I can't hold back a blog post about that! So we'll talk soon!
