Wow--we have had a whirlwind few weeks of Christmas! It's been super fun though. I've taken hundreds of pictures so it's difficult to just sort out a few of my favorites. They're all my favorites!
As I wrote about in a previous blog, we kicked off the Christmas season with the Greenslitt Christmas in the beginning of December -- Christmas #1.
Bryan and I hosted a small Christmas Eve at our house with our parents and his aunt and uncle, Paul & Lisa.
We had a fantastic night with food, a few gifts and a rousing game of Clue. Bryan read The Night Before Christmas with an audience this time (no pressure).
We got up on Christmas morning and Santa came just as promised! Kenley's stocking was full and so was the floor around the tree. She opened a few gifts after breakfast and had to take a nap before getting through all the gifts.
Later that day we got to visit Grandma and Grandpa G to have dinner and to check out what Santa brought to little K and her twin cousins (Christmas #2.) Santa and the G's didn't disappoint. She even got her very own pink pony. My rodeo queen in training!
We finished our day there with watching one of my favorite movies, A Christmas Story. "You'll shoot your eye out!"
The next morning we headed out to western Washington to visit more family. First stop: Todd, Megan & Emry! (Christmas #3) We couldn't wait for the girls to see each other. They've both grown so much in just a month.
We opened more presents with Grampa Jim and Gramma Val, and ate some more delicious food. Kenley got some fun new toys including a push walker that we've already tried out...I don't think she's quite ready to walk, but it's certainly a fun looking toy! I think her favorite toys continue to be wrapping paper and bows though.
Uncle Todd got Emry the coolest stuffed Tiger too! She was pretty in to riding it, but little K wasn't so sure...
Auntie Jonna also stopped in to visit the girls the next day before we were on our way to the next Christmas.
We had so much fun visiting T, M & E. We always wish we had more time with them.
And finally...Christmas #4 -- the Baker Family in Yelm/Olympia!
We picked up Grandma Pruitt at SeaTac and we were off! Jeri, Jeff, Justin & Jaimie are always so kind to open their home to us.
It's kind of a Baker girl tradition to get pedicures at Christmas together, so we introduced K to it this trip. No paint, but dipped her feet in the water a little.
For the record, I got a Seahawks pedicure complete with a 12 painted on my toes!
Sunday was the big day! Penny is an amazing hostess and had everyone out to her house for SO. MUCH. FOOD. and presents. Once again, Kenley was spoiled by such a generous family. We have lots of thank you notes to write! Best of all was being with our family to celebrate.
The evening was capped off with a hidden talent contest...it got quite interesting (Bryan did the worm even!)
We are so fortunate to have great grandparents for Kenley. I was fortunate enough to know mine and I know how special the relationships are.
We are so blessed with such wonderful family. This was truly the best Christmas ever. Christmas through a child's eyes is the most special experience I've ever had and know they'll keep getting better.
Kenley was quite happy to be home in her crib tonight...
Cheers to 2014. I hope everyone's new year is full of HAPPY!!!
Emily ❤️
