Christmas. Round One.

It's pretty obvious that we love Christmas and we don't waste any time or any days celebrating.
I've been enjoying snapping Christmas pictures of Kenley this week.

And we met Santa... Kenley was all smiles. She was a patient girl waiting in line for about 30 mins. She must have known Santa was watching! ;-)

Grandma G was able to join us too!

Bryan has been reading little K her Christmas books each night. It's fun to read these books for us too! They bring back great memories from when we were little.

And finally--yesterday we celebrated Christmas with the Greenslitt family. We started a new tradition last year by adopting a family through the Salvation Army. We received a family of six (dad, mom, three girls and one boy).

We met in the morning for breakfast and to make a plan. Once we had our buying assignments, we all went out shopping for the family. We returned in the late afternoon to have dinner, karaoke and to share our treasures.

It was one of the best Christmas gatherings that I can remember, and I didn't receive a single gift. I think every member of our family can agree that knowing we helped another family have a happy Christmas is the most rewarding feeling. The family will never know us. We will never know them. It just feels so much like what Christmas is all about.

The family's gifts.

Mom and I made Chistmas pillowcases for them.

Pillows with the pillowcases on.

All ready for delivery back to the Salvation Army.

Stay warm! ❄️⛄️
